Are you looking for some fun and simple ideas for Valentine’s Day? Then you will love these adorable yarn heart kid’s craft!
If you enjoy spreading the LOVE during February for Valentine’s Day then this simple craft is perfect!
All you need is a few simple supplies that you likely have around the house already:
- Red, pink, or white pipe cleaners
- Colorful red & pink yarn or some bakers string
- scissors
- mini suction cups to hang completed craft in the window
Valentine’s Day activities: Countdown of Love for Kid’s
Once you have these supplies then begin by shaping the pipe cleaner into a heart shape. I found the best way was to twist the ends together first, then shape it.
Next, you begin to gently wrap the yarn around the heart shape. Do this until you get your favorite look!

We tried a few different ones. We used colored yarn on some, and bakers string for a more simple look.
Once you create these you can string them on your mantle or in the window on mini suction cups.
