The season of Easter is a special time to begin some fresh crafts. Check out our recent Watercolor Resist Easter Cross Craft. It is a cinch for the kids to do and it will keep their little hands busy!
We love to celebrate our risen Jesus during the Resurrection Season and crafts are the perfect way to do it. We do enjoy coloring eggs and eating chocolate as well, but I certainly think intentionally about keeping Christ the focus of Easter in our home.
This lovely Watercolor Paint Resist Easter Cross will point kid’s hearts to Jesus and the true reason of why we celebrate Easter.
Be sure to grab some of our favorite books to include as we celebrate the Easter season too.
Now for this super fun and simple Easter Cross craft!
Here is a list of items that you can use to complete this fun Watercolor Resist Easter Cross Craft project!
- white cardstock
- watercolor paints
- paintbrushes
- painters tape
- craft paper roll (for easy clean up)
I usually begin our painting crafts with an inexpensive tablecloth and add a runner of craft paper.
1. Set up your paper by making a cross with wide painter’s tape on a piece of the white cardstock paper. If your kids are a little older, or love crafting, they can do the cross themselves.
Next, get the water and watercolor paints and brushes and just get painting!!
Kids can do rainbow stripes or just fill in the open white space with beautiful color patterns. Just be sure to paint over the tape to create the full cross once the tape is removed.
When the paint has dried, gently pull back the tape and remove it completely. You will see your stunning Watercolor Resist Easter Cross Craft!
This is such a perfect way to make time to talk about the power of the cross of Christ with your little ones. Remind them of the promise God gave with the rainbow to Noah and how Jesus provides.
“Love comes in the shape of a Cross.”
