SIMPLE PAINTED SNOWMAN STONES

Who doesn’t love a cute little snowman? As we anticipate the wintery snow this season I made my own version of this happy little snowman family with these Simple Painted Snowman Stones.

Winter often means that we spend more time indoors. It can get tricky trying to find activities for the kids that are not tech related.

Crafts can be a super simple activity that will help kids get creative, engage with one another, and have a cool finished product once done.

Painting rocks is a calming activity and pretty easy for you to pull together quickly too.

You can make your own set of Painted Stones by grabbing some flat river rocks, acrylic paint, and colored sharpies (one of my favorite art tools!). See the full supply list below.

SNOWMAN STONES

For these cute snowman stones, I painted both sides of my rocks white and let them dry completely.

Next, I used different colored Sharpie pens to draw on the hats and scarves, and brown for the stick arms. Then I used the black Sharpie to add some outlining, the eyes, and buttons.

ALL DONE!

My kids enjoy mixing and matching the colors of the hats and scarves to make different snowmen. They also like determining which snowman represents themselves and their siblings.

Simple Painted Snowman Stones!

Then we just put them on a navy blue piece of felt on the table. The kids took it from there using their imaginations and mixing up the different stones.
