Since counting money and telling time are necessary life skills, I’ve created these simple and fun money and time worksheets for you.
These worksheets can be used each day to teach, strengthen, and solidify your child’s skills. Grab your free copies at the end of the post.
They are also simple to modify for wherever your child is at in the learning process. Here are a few great ways to start using these fun money and time worksheets TODAY!
I pop them into a page protector and provides some dry erase markers for my kids to do some daily warm-up math.
How much Money?
My “How much Money” worksheet is perfect for helping kids count money and learn to make change.
You can use actual money, we have a little change jar that is only for learning, or you can use play money like these:
One of my favorites is the Magnetic Play Money since I can put it up on the whiteboard.
I will simply put 3 groups of dollars and coins for the kids to count. They put the amount in the corresponding box on the worksheet.
For older kids, or once skills grow, you can have them make change with the amounts they have counted.
For the “make change” section, have the child use the bottom space to subtract the amount of money from the “Make change with:” amounts. This is also fun to get the cash register out and have them ask you to “buy” small items from them. We love this fun register!!
You could also have them make their own amounts of money to count out or even challenge each other if you have multiple kids.
However you choose to use the worksheet, strengthening money skills is key to future success.
What Time is it?
Telling time is another important skill to help your child learn. You can very simply use the “What Time is it?” worksheet to help read current times and figure out past and future.
When using this worksheet your child can look at the current time or you can provide a time for her. The only resources you need are an analog clock!
Here are a few other favorite tools I have found and used.
Counting hours and minutes can be easily mastered using these tools with my worksheets!
