Are you planning a trip to the beach soon? If so you must grab this super simple and fun beach scavenger hunt FREE printable for your kids!!
What kids do not love taking a list and being able to become little detectives exploring the shore to find shells, seaweed, and crabs??
My kids fill a bucket every time we hit the beach. Sometimes I find that bucket after the leaving it in the car…in the sun….in 90 degrees weather…for toooooo many days! STINKY! So I try to leave the “treasures” on the shore when I remember.
This simple and fun list covers a bunch of treasures you can find along the seashore or intertidal zone. You can check out my post on doing a Stress Free Ocean Study.
You can grab these great foraging bags for your kids too!
I have a great list of books for you to check out that will get your kids even more excited about exploring on the beach!
This is a GREAT book for beachcombing: Beach Walk
You can even put some of these in the car for next time you are at the shore or trying to enjoy a little mom conversation while out and about. The pictures make it easy for kids below reading age to hunt for the items.

If you are looking to begin creating small and simple unit studies for your kids to dig into new topics, check out this post on putting together a simple unit study.
The beach should be a place to rest and refresh for momma & kids. A bucket with a small list engages kids and helps them begin observing nature. The life skill of observation and analysis learned through playing will benefit them for a lifetime.
Be sure to bring this freebie along with the pail & shovel next time you hit the beach. What types of other places do you enjoy exploring with your kids? Leave me a comment and I will create a new Scavenger Hunt!!
Best,
